Anthony's Prayer Corner

We welcome Anthony offering his time especially for Intercessory Prayer in our parish. While studying at McMaster Divinity College, he took a few courses on Disability and the Bible as well as Disability in Church Ministry. These courses spoke to his heart. As he said, “I feel the Church must be accessible to all – ‘a home away from home’ as I like to say.” He wants to make the church more accessible not so much in structure (ramps, accessible washrooms, etc) but in our mentality and openness.
With this in mind, we have asked Anthony to begin a ministry of intercessory prayer for our parish. Anthony is dedicating a daily prayer period to intercede for the needs of people. If you would like to be included in his intercessory prayer, please send the parish a name and need, this will be passed on to Anthony.
Anthony will also be writing a spiritual encouragement once or twice a month which will be on on this page.
See below words from Anthony:

My name is Anthony Ramuscak. I am a lifelong Catholic whose faith has been shaped through both challenges and blessings. When I was nine years old, I suffered a life-altering stroke that left doctors with little hope for my future.

By the grace of God, the love of my family, and the prayers of many people, I persevered through those challenges and went on to graduate from Mohawk College, Redeemer University, and McMaster Divinity College.

Prayer has always been at the heart of my relationship with Jesus Christ. I have a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother and a deep belief in the power of intercessory prayer.

While studying at McMaster Divinity College, I completed courses on disability and the Church that strengthened my conviction that the Church must be accessible to all—”a home away from home”; where every person feels welcomed, valued, and loved.

Through Anthony’s Prayer Corner, I hope to serve our parish family by praying daily for those in need and by sharing words of encouragement that help us grow closer to Christ.
